The National Electrification Administration (NEA) gathered key officials of Electric Cooperatives (ECs) from Region VI, VII and VIII in a seminar that aims to capacitate their newly elected Board of Directors, and newly appointed General Managers and Officer-in-Charge in understanding the Electric Power Industry.
Former Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) Commissioner Atty. Josefina Patricia M. Asirit served as the speaker at the Power 101 Seminar Series. The discussion focused on the basic concepts of the Philippine Energy Sector, the electric power system, and the historical perspective of the Electric Power Industry.

The National Electrification Administration (NEA) continues as one of the top-ranking Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations (GOCCs), according to the Governance Commission for GOCCs (GCG).
Since 2020, the NEA has made it to the list of top-performing GOCCs in the country based on the Corporate Governance Scorecard (CGS) for GOCCs. The CGS annually assesses the GOCCs' policies and practices on Stakeholder Relationships, Disclosure and Transparency, and Responsibilities of the Board.

A proper and fair selection process is followed at all times just like in the recent appointments of the Project Supervisor and Acting General Managers of Isabela I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (ISELCO I) and Isabela II Electric Cooperative (ISELCO II).

For the first time since his appointment, NEA Administrator Antonio Mariano C. Almeda visited an electric cooperative today, 26 November 2022.
Administrator Almeda joined Nueva Ecija I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (NEECO I) in celebrating its 49th founding anniversary. In his speech, he congratulated NEECO I for its achievements in the rural electrification industry.
"Ako'y nagpapasalamat sa inyong dedikasyon at pagtutulungan, at dahil sa inyo ay nakikita ang pag-unlad ng probinsya ng Nueva Ecija," the NEA Chief said.
