The National Electrification Administration (NEA) attended the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) National Summit of "ICCs/IPs Unification with the Government Nation Building" with the theme, "Building Families, Building AD/AL Communities and Building the Nation" held at the AFP Commissioned Officers Club House, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City on 16 November 2022.

The summit was led by its Chairperson, Secretary Allen A. Capuyan, who delivered the State of the Indigenous Cultural Communities (ICCs)/Indigenous Peoples (IPs) Address and presented the Developing Resilient, Responsive, and Relevant Communities through the Operationalization of the 11 Building Blocks – NCIP Strategic Direction. Attorney Marlon A. Bosantog, Chairperson of Indigenous Peoples Rights Act (IPRA) Center, discussed the 13 Drivers for Nation-Building – Economic Recovery, while Director Gillian S. Dunuan of NICP Legal Affairs Office shared the Collaborative Framework of Agencies with the ICCs/IPs – Call to Action and Ways Forward.

Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benjamin “Benhur” C. Abalos, Jr. graced the event and led the Signing of National Advisory and the Pledge of Commitment and Manifesto of Peace, Unity and Development.

Some 400 participants from different government agencies attended the summit. The NEA was represented by Engineer Isak Jonathan V. Villanueva of the Renewable Energy Development Division (REDD), Ms. Mary Pauline V. Reyes under the Office of the Administrator (OA) and Mr. Rafael B. Barrientos of the Corporate Communications and Social Marketing Office (CCSMO).
