The proposed budget of the Energy Family including the National Electrification Administration (NEA) for Fiscal Year 2023 passed the Senate Plenary Deliberation yesterday, 10 November 2022.

Sen. Sherwin T. Gatchalian is the budget sponsor of the Department of Energy and its attached agencies. Key officials of the Department of Energy, National Electrification Administration, National Power Corporation and Philippine National Oil Company were present in the plenary deliberation. Administrator Emmanuel P. Juaneza led the NEA officials in the budget hearing.

Among the topics discussed was the funding for the various electrification projects of the government including NEA's Sitio Electrification Program (SEP) which was allotted a PhP1.6 Billion budget. ###
