The Federation of Rural Electric Cooperatives in Region VIII (FRECOR 8) pledged a total of 12,500 electric meters to Maguindanao Electric Cooperative, Inc. (MAGELCO)

The donation was a result of a meeting of NEA Administrator Antonio Mariano C. Almeda with the General Managers and Board Directors of Region VIII ECs.

Administrator Almeda discussed with the EC officials the immediate need of MAGELCO for electric meters to aid its operation and ultimately revamp its service for the benefit of its member-consumer-owners.

A board resolution will be passed by FRECOR 8 for the delivery of the electric meters in January or February 2023.

The Administrator lauded the generosity and support of the association to the agency in its mission to save ailing electric cooperatives in Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).###
